1. Overview

 

Your privacy is important to Mzuzi Group Limited. We want you to feel safe when you visit our websites, use the MLIC App, access the Mzuzi Business Address Code (MLIC), use Mzuzi Business Listings and directory, or interact with any of our digital products and services.

This Privacy Policy explains how Mzuzi Group Limited collects, receives, uses, stores, discloses, protects, and manages personal data through our website, iOS application, Android application, customer service channels, business platforms, delivery-related services, and related digital services.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, service-specific terms, consent notices, app permission prompts, cookie notices, and any other privacy or fair processing notices that we may provide from time to time.

We may update this Privacy Policy to comply with law, improve transparency, or meet business and operational requirements. The most current version will normally be available on our website and, where appropriate, through our mobile applications. Where material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, app, email, push notification, or other appropriate communication channel.

Subject to applicable law, the English version of this Privacy Policy shall prevail over any translated version.

Means Mzuzi Liocation Identity Code, including any related digital addressing, location intelligence, business listing, directory, mapping, search, delivery, verification or data service.

Processor or Service Provider

Means a third party that processes personal data on behalf of Mzuzi Group Limited.

Services

Means the website, applications, MLIC, MLIC App, business listings, directory, location intelligence services, address services, customer support, delivery support, and any other Mzuzi products or services.

Usage Data

Means information collected automatically when you use our services, including device identifiers, IP address, pages visited, app activity, log data, diagnostic data, and similar technical information.

You or User

Means the individual, business, organisation, or other legal entity accessing or using the services.

 

3. When This Privacy Policy Applies

 

This Privacy Policy applies when you:

  • Use or access mzuzigroup.com or any other Mzuzi website;
  • Download, install, register for, access or use the MLIC App on iOS or Android;
  • Use MLIC, Mzuzi Business Listings, directory, Mzuzi digital addressing, location intelligence, mapping, search, delivery, verification or related services;
  • Create, manage or update an account with us;
  • Contact us or receive communications from us by telephone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, post, social media, online forms, support channels or third-party platforms;
  • Participate in surveys, promotions, market research, pilot programmes, demonstrations or service trials;
  • Visit our offices or premises where CCTV or access control may be in operation.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, platforms, payment processors, social media platforms, app stores, device manufacturers or service providers that operate under their own privacy policies, unless they process personal data on our behalf.

4. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data

 

Mzuzi Group Limited is responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy unless a separate privacy notice states otherwise. We are usually the data controller responsible for determining how and why your personal data is processed.

Our websites and mobile applications may contain links to third-party websites, applications or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security or terms of third-party platforms. You should review their privacy policies before submitting personal data to them.

  • Registration information provided when creating or updating a Mzuzi website or app account;
  • MLIC address, property, delivery point, business listing and location-related information;
  • Customer support information, including enquiries, complaints, claims, correspondence, call records, feedback and service requests;
  • Payment-related records, including transaction references, subscription details, invoices, receipts and payment status. We do not intentionally collect full card details unless expressly required and handled through secure payment processing arrangements;
  • Photos, images, business profile details, logos, documents or other content you upload to our website, app or services;
  • Information relating to relatives, principals, employees, customers, tenants, occupiers, agents or other people where you provide their information to us lawfully and with appropriate authority.

Because Mzuzi services include digital addressing, MLIC, location intelligence, mapping, navigation, business listings, directory, and delivery-related features, we may collect or process location and address-related data where it is necessary for the service you request, where you provide it to us, where your device permission allows it, or where it is provided by a lawful third-party source such as a local authority, business customer, delivery partner, or authorised representative.

Location information may include GPS location, map pin, address, MLIC business location, delivery point, property description, nearby landmark, search location, route-related information, and other location intelligence data relevant to the service.

5.4 Images, CCTV and Premises Security

 

Where you visit Mzuzi premises or locations where we operate CCTV or security systems, we may record images to protect our customers, employees, visitors, property, systems and operations. We may also receive images or photographs where you or a third party uploads or submits them through our services.

5.5 Children and Other People

 

Where you provide personal data on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that the person has been informed of this Privacy Policy. Where the information relates to a child, you should only provide it if you are the parent, legal guardian or otherwise lawfully authorised to act for that child.

  • Business customers or partners where necessary to provide MLIC address, delivery, verification, business listing, fraud prevention, regulatory, identity support or location intelligence services;
  • App stores, operating system providers, device platforms, analytics services or notification services where necessary for iOS or Android app operation;
  • Public authorities, regulators, law enforcement bodies, courts, tax authorities, customs agencies or government bodies where required or permitted by law;
  • Potential investors, purchasers, lenders, advisers or parties involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction;

We may also compile and share aggregated, anonymised or statistical information about usage patterns, traffic, user numbers and service performance. Such information will not identify you personally.

Safeguards may include access controls, staff confidentiality obligations, encryption where appropriate, secure hosting arrangements, password controls, audit logs, monitoring, backups, data minimisation, system reviews, incident response procedures and contractual obligations for service providers.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
